Joanne Brabham (Ms. B)
About Me
I served as a counselor for 25 years in the school system building trust with individuals young and old and have a deep understanding of how to empower others to succeed. I know from my years of experience working with those in need that everyone has the inherent capacity for growth and change.
Specialties
I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. I have extensive experience supporting children and young adults who are navigating life transitions and stress. I offer neurodiversity affirming care for individuals with ADHD and ASD who face unique barriers and stressors in environments designed for neurotypical norms. In addition, I serve as an advocate and resource for those needing assistance in navigating the IEP and 504 process to answer questions and provide guidance.
Therapeutic Approach
Using compassionate and strength-based counseling strategies, I work with children, parents, and young adults to feel empowered and find solutions. I place an emphasis on using evidence-based treatments that help to overcome the debilitating effects of discouragement and hopelessness.
